Virtual IACUC Protocol System (VIPS)

Overview:

Charles River is licensed with the USDA, has an assurance statement filed with OLAW as well as being an accredited institution with AAALAC, International. In order to maintain compliance with these agencies, we developed VIPS for not only tracking protocols and animal usage, but it has a component for customizable automatic e-mail notification of expiring protocols.

Project Details:

Hand coded with PHP, MySQL, CSS, and XHTML and complies to OWASP security standards.

New York Paintless Dent

Overview:

A friend of ours relied on a lot of word of mouth business, but when people heard about him they tried to find his website for more information they were out of luck. He heard what his customers where saying and asked for some help to give him a very simple web presence. We had freedom to do anything we wanted with the design so we came up with a cool template with his basic information. Check it out and if you have a ding in your ride then call him up!

A Better Bag of Groceries

Overview:

A blogger employee from NuVal, a simplified nutritional scoring system, was in need of a brand new blog. This was our first blog for a major company and they made it such a great experience. The blog they received was the product of hard work and having a great client/consultant relationship through constant effective communication. We hope to continue doing business with NuVal in the future.

Healthy Tipping Point

Overview:

Another foodie blogger wanted to move away from Blogger to leverage the features in WordPress with a custom template. We were happy to design this very simple blue template to match her style and personality. This was probably one of the fastest designs so far only taking 2 weeks.

Overview:

The owners of Twins Kitchen needed their blog to look similar to their business website. We were able to mimic the design of their other site and transfer it over into a custom WordPress template to create unity between the two sites.

Carrots 'N' Cake

Overview:

Tina Haupert, a friend of ours, became quite the blogging sensation after starting a food blog in February '08. She has been getting so much traffic she decided to take it to the next level and do a custom WordPress template for her new and improved blog which includes recipes, dietary information, fitness suggestions, and much more. After a very thorough design process we satisfied her appetite for a very professional and "girly" website.

United States Vampire Service

Overview:

Another friend of ours wanted to increase traffic to his site so his idea was to start a viral campaign and allow people to register for a logo to place on their site. The click-through are tracked for each person. The top "bug killer" will have a character named after them in his upcoming book!

Project Details:

Developed with PHP, CSS and MySQL, integrated into WordPress, we were able to allow users to register and receive a customized code block to paste on their site. This code tracks hits and funnels traffic to usvs.info.

Diet, Dessert, and Dogs

Overview:

Another food blogger referred by Carrots 'N' Cake needed to migrate their limited blog from WordPress.com to a full customizable WordPress blog on their own hosting account.

Free online template with custom banner images make up this WordPress food blog.

Butters Farm

Overview:

The Town of Wilmington, Historical Commission decided to utilize the effectiveness of a website to reach out to people to help save a 325 year old house located in Wilmington, MA. With this simple informational site they were able to tell the house's story, raise funds to purchase the house and keep it intact, and also connect with descendants of the original Butters family all over the country.

Hand coded with PHP, CSS, and XHTML. This also utilizes an Adobe Flash based photo gallery.

Slaying Angels

Overview:

A buddy of ours wanted to start selling some custom designed t-shirts online for some extra cash. So we helped him out by custom building a content management system and connecting it to their eCommerce solution to allow credit card transactions. Their shirts can be seen worn by UFC fighters Joe Lauzon and BJ Penn.

Overview:

Justin Kopec, a Boston, MA tattoo artist, wanted to express his love of comic book characters through his site, while also displaying is talents as a tattoo artist and painter. 13-infinite came up with the idea to have his site switch between different themes each week, so we delivered. Every week his theme changes to a different character. More are also in development.

The Newburyport Liberator

Overview:

This site could not get any simpler that this. The client wanted the design to follow a newspaper so a lot of design was sacrificed for usability. In the end, the site is a successful eCommerce site which takes payments for subscriptions and placing ads to the local newspaper, the Newburyport Liberator.

Hand coded with SSL, PHP, MySQL, CSS, and XHTML. Accepts credit card payments for the newspaper ads and subscriptions.
